Published by InjuryMgmt. Our service is exclusively for doctors. This guide compares our product with three other options that explicitly address physician or medical-evaluator workflows. It is based on published product information, not a hands-on comparative test or an independent ranking.
If you review records for a QME, IME, workers’ compensation or personal injury case, a readable summary is only part of the job. You also need to check the evidence, understand changes over time and prepare your own account of the case.
This guide focuses on reviewing existing medical records. Start with the work you need to complete: understanding the historical file, documenting a new encounter and drafting a final evaluation are different tasks.
01 / THE SHORTLIST
Four options. Different ways to work.
All four offer a relevant starting point for physician review. The distinctions below are reasons to investigate each product, not measured performance results.

Monthly allowances and prepaid credits are different commitments. See the pricing details and each vendor’s current terms before choosing.
02 / WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Evaluate the work around your opinion.
- 01A clear path back to the record
- Open a summary’s reference and check the original page. Confirm that the citation supports the particular statement, including its date and context. A citation’s presence alone does not establish accuracy.
- 02Organization that matches your clinical questions
- Look beyond a single narrative. Can you follow treatment dates, prior history, activities of daily living and work restrictions? Ask how the tool handles duplicate pages, conflicting accounts and records belonging to another patient.
- 03Room for your own findings and opinion
- Check how you correct summaries and separate historical records from your examination. Try the final report or export in your usual workflow. Your own conclusions should remain distinguishable from extracted material.
- 04A workable fit for your files and practice
- Check per-case page and file-size limits, accepted formats, scanned-page handling and user access. Review the vendor’s Business Associate Agreement, data retention, deletion and training policies before uploading patient information.
03 / A CLOSER LOOK
Match the tool to your practice.
InjuryMgmt
Our productInjuryMgmt serves doctors exclusively. Its review workspace organizes treatment timelines, activities of daily living and work-status evidence with source-page references. You can enter examination findings separately, work from records alone, or use the summaries in your existing report process.
AI-assisted impairment rating: our AI tools scan the case for potentially ratable findings and automatically pre-fill available data to streamline supported AMA Guides, 5th Edition impairment ratings. You review the findings, complete any missing examination data and confirm the rating. Support for the 4th and 6th editions is coming soon.
Consider it when: you want those clinical views alongside impairment rating and report preparation, with the option to add clinic EMR charting.
Check the fit: each case supports up to 3,000 pages and 100 MB; both limits apply. Confirm that your required impairment method is supported, and try the report workflow with your own preferred structure.
Explore InjuryMgmt’s review workflow ↗InPractice
InPractice’s IME/QME page describes editable chronologies, source-linked summaries, duplicate detection, case chat and side-by-side review. It lists Word, Excel and PDF exports.
Consider it when: you want to prepare records for an existing report workflow and prefer credits you can use across cases without a recurring subscription.
Check the fit: test the exported chronology and narrative in your report template. Confirm file limits and the credit package appropriate to your actual volume.
InPractice’s IME / QME details ↗MediScan
MediScan’s QME/IME workflow includes summaries beside the original records, customizable review templates, source-linked record chat and exports to Word or a hyperlinked PDF. Its site distinguishes the reviewed history from the physician’s examination and opinion.
Consider it when: reusable review formats and a configurable record-review output are important to your evaluation process.
Check the fit: try a template with the record types you commonly receive. Confirm per-case limits, included access and what happens when monthly page volume changes.
MediScan’s QME / IME details ↗Wisedocs
Wisedocs describes IME preparation built around organized, deduplicated and indexed records. Its broader platform includes chronologies, summaries, document search and customizable reports for medical evaluators and other claims-related roles.
Consider it when: your physician review is part of a larger record-preparation operation and you want to evaluate that wider workflow.
Check the fit: request a demonstration of the doctor’s own review and export experience. Ask for pricing, minimum commitments, case limits and the scope of any human review.
Wisedocs’ IME details ↗04 / COMPARE THE COST
Read beyond the per-page price.
Compare the total commitment for a normal month and a quiet month. Check how billable pages are counted, whether unused allowances carry over, and whether duplicates or reprocessing incur charges.
- InjuryMgmt: $99/month includes 1,500 pages; $249/month includes 5,000. Both charge $0.05 per additional page. Start with 200 free pages. Clinic EMR is an optional $50/month per provider. See plans.
- InPractice: published packs are $150 for 1,000 pages, $600 for 5,000, $2,000 for 20,000 and $7,000 for 100,000. The advertised $0.07 rate applies to the 100,000-page pack. Credits do not expire. See pricing.
- MediScan: Starter is $169/month for 1,200 pages, Pro $445 for 3,500, and Team $665 for 10,000. Additional-page rates are $0.10, $0.07 and $0.05 respectively. See pricing.
- Wisedocs: request a quote for your volume and workflow. No numerical price was listed on the product and IME pages reviewed for this guide. Explore the platform.
Prices checked October 19, 2026. Confirm current plans, taxes, billing terms and included features with each vendor. A lower price does not establish a better clinical workflow.
05 / TRY THE SAME CASE
Bring a small, deliberate test.
Use the same fictional packet in each demonstration. Include a prior visit, an imaging report, a duplicate and two dated work-status notes. Write down the expected facts before you begin.
FICTIONAL DEMO TASK · NOT A PRODUCT TEST RESULT
Can you follow a change in work status?
Page 4 records a lifting restriction on May 6. Page 19 records a different restriction on May 20. Ask the tool to show the progression with both dates and sources, then open each original page.
The useful result preserves the two observations. Check whether you can correct a mistaken date, retain that correction and carry the evidence into your report.
- Find a known fact and verify its source page.
- Check that a repeated page does not become a second encounter.
- Look for an omitted visit or a statement the record does not support.
- Edit a summary, then inspect the report or exported file.
- Time your verification and correction work separately from automated processing.
Choose the tool that fits the way you verify evidence and write. If the output takes substantial work to check or reshape, a fast initial summary may not save time overall.
06 / SOURCES & METHOD
What this comparison is based on.
Prepared by InjuryMgmt using its product information and the official vendor pages below, reviewed October 19, 2026. We selected these four because each describes a physician or medical-evaluator use case. This is a focused shortlist, not a complete market survey.
Competitor features are attributed to their published descriptions. We have not run the same case through all four products, verified comparative accuracy or audited security claims. A detail absent from a reviewed page is an open question, not proof that a feature is unavailable.
